Hello All

 

Again, this is a truly important message that I need you all to read.  As it
will affect how you get paid for reimbursements/travel and how to order
supplies, services and equipment for your lab.

 

As I stated in the PLS Faculty meeting, the current AZBUYWAYS website hosted
by SciQuest will no longer exist starting 10.05.11.  To access AZBUYWAYS in
the future, it is through UAccess Financial.  Which everyone with a UA NETID
can access.   This is quite troublesome.  Therefore, I need each faculty
member to send me a list of persons in their labs who has authority to shop
and buy via the AZ BUYWAYS portal call "Shop Catalog" in your labs.   I need
this list no later than September 23, 2011.    Two things, this list will
assist with is that I will know that they have authority to purchase based
on your approval or if I don't receive this list, I will not approve any of
the orders from members of your staff.

 

With UAFinancials you will no longer need to provide an actual signature on
reimbursements such as check requests and travel expense reports.  This will
all be done on-line and via a virtual signature.  Plus, everyone at the UA
will be able to view account balances, employee's weekly & monthly pay and
access other account information.   That is why I have holding mandatory
training sessions with each lab.  The sessions will be 1 hour.   If we don't
have these meetings with your lab, we will not process payments, or approve
AZBUYWAYS orders until we do.

 

Therefore, I will be contacting you to setup meetings this week for times
between September 19th through October 4th.   There is so much information
it is easier to meet with smaller groups then hold training meeting is M230.
But, we are hold training sessions per floor if that works better for your
lab.  At present, I have scheduled training for the labs on the 4th floor of
Marley, and all of the PLS Labs at the Keating Building.
