Dear Colleagues,

Each Fall and Spring semester an Outstanding Graduating Senior is chosen
from each academic program. Please, any information found in this email is
not to be shared with students, so please don't say, oh yeah I hear you are
in the running for Outstanding Senior, since they do not know.

For Fall graduation 2011, we have three students who are competitive (this
is decided by GPA and other activities, for instance club participation,
undergraduate research, etc.), and they are (listed alphabetically) Asher
Haug-Baltzell, Robert Jones, and Amy Mellor. If you have had any of these
three students in class, in an individual study project, an Honors Thesis,
or on your work crew, etc., and would like to comment on them (champion
them) as the Outstanding Senior for Fall 2011, please send the information
directly to me (dtray at email.arizona.edu), and I will share it with the
Awards Committee, who will make the final decision.

We also once a year can nominate a graduate student for the Meritorious
Award for a Graduate Teaching Assistant, again if you have had a TA you
would like to nominate, let me know directly (dtray at email.arizona.edu).
Only one of these is given for the college, but the last three years a
nominee from Plant Sciences has won this award.

If you have any questions, please contact me,

Dennis
