Brian, DARPA has a BAA that is appears ENGR will be chasing on "living
foundries". This looks a lot like the igem competition. PLS faculty may
also be interested in participating. If that is the case, have then contact
Glenn Schrader in ENGR directly.

Please share with others. I hit a few individual faculty in AME, ECE, CHEE,
MSE. I am sure that Jennifer will work with BME. I have some of the
campus defense institute people as well.
check out the attached BAA and the web link. We have some interest from the
Phoenix med school to partner in this. I can see a large program across the
campus. high value materials, devices, and capabilities sounds right up our
collective alleys.
let glenn or me know if there is interest. we have been trying to figure
out a research forum area around BME and devices and this might be the
opportunity that gets us in a strong direction.
