Judges still needed for 2011 Student Showcase - 2nd request
******************************************************
Judges for the 19th Annual Student Showcase 2011 are still needed. About 110
student research and creative projects will be on display this year, and
with this number, many judges are required to make Showcase a success. Only
three hours of your time is required, and you will receive free breakfast!
Student Showcase will take place Homecoming weekend, on November 4th in
front of the Main Library. It is an outdoor exhibition comprised of a
variety of undergraduate and graduate student projects from nearly every
area of study at the U of A.
This year, judges will need to be available from about 8:30am until 11:30am
on Friday, November 4th. A judge's orientation will begin around 8:30am with
breakfast being provided at 8am. The judges will then move with their panel
to the Showcase tents to begin judging projects. Each team will judge
between 6 and 12 projects, depending on the category they are judging.
Judging teams are composed of graduate students, faculty, staff, and Tucson
community members.
Arrangements will be made for FREE parking for the off-campus judges.
The judging categories are as follows:
. Agriculture and Environmental Sciences
. Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture
. Biological Sciences
. Business, Public Administration, and Economics
. Education
. Engineering
. Health Sciences
. Humanities, Literature, and Languages
. Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science
. Public Health
. Social Sciences and Law
. Visual and Performing Arts
If you are interested in becoming a Student Showcase judge, please contact
Chris Cornelison at 626-6122 or gpscevents at email.arizona.edu no later than
Friday, October 21st. Please indicate the category you would feel most
comfortable serving as a judge.
