[Plsfaculty] April 30, 2011 FRS Close

Hello All,

 

The UA Financial Report System (FRS) was supposed to close out the end of
the month as of April 30, 2011 last night at midnight.  It did not.  As most
of you know, I start to balance your accounts when FRS closes the month,
then send you the financial statements throughout the weekend.   This means
that  the month end reports to balance the accounts  in order to produce
your financial statement are not available.

 

FSO has not sent out a notification to why these reports are not available
nor when FRS will close for April.   I will continue to check throughout the
weekend.  

 

Please note, that May will be an extremely busy month for the Administrative
staff, as we are in the process of finishing the capital inventory, do the
2012 budget and personnel rollover, and there is two major grant deadlines
in May.  Plus, as the new Financial Reporting system - KFS will  be going
live 10.01.11, we are in the testing and pilot programs for this system.  As
well as all of the new features that will be forthcoming in the payroll /
human resource functions in UAcess.
