Please see the attached.  If you are interested in suggesting a course fee
for a course you teach, please read the information, and/or talk with me so
that we can get moving in a direction.  This is a very close deadline, so if
you are interested, we need to move forward as soon as possible.

Dear Associate Deans,

Friday, October 1, is the deadline to submit any special class fee requests
greater than $100.  This includes requests for changes to existing fees when
the amount of the total fee requested is greater than $100.  These requests
must be approved by the Arizona Board of Regents at a special meeting on
tuition and fees.  The earliest these new or revised fees could be charged
is Fall 2011.

ABOR

lishing%20Special%20Class%20Fees%20and%20Deposits.pdf>  Policy 4-105
describes the procedure for establishing special class fees and deposits,
and states, "New special class fees and deposits totaling more than $100 or
which do not comply with the definitions outlined below shall be submitted
to the Arizona Board of Regents for approval prior to the registrar's
deadlines for implementation."  "Increases to existing special class fees
and deposits where the proposed additional fee or deposit totals more than
$100 shall also be submitted to the Arizona Board of Regents for approval
prior to registrar's deadline for implementation."

Requests for any new or modified special class fee must be submitted through
