[Plsfaculty] RE: Academic Appointment Faculty Timesheets

Hello All,

 

After I sent this email out yesterday, I receive a lot of emails from the
Academic Appointed faculty wondering why they have a timesheet but no PAW
time code to report time.

 

Because you do not need to complete your regular timesheet during the summer
as you are truly only on a 9 month contract.   If you are paying yourself
supplemental compensation during the summer - I have completed those
timesheets for you.

 

Therefore, Academic appointed faculty members have the summer off from
UAccess time reporting.   Time reporting is on vacation!

 

But, for those of you who are on a fiscal appointment, you must still
complete your timesheets.

 

If you don't know if you are an academic appointment or fiscal - there are
two hints listed below.

Hello,

 

For all of the faculty who are on an academic year appointment (9 month)
regardless if you receive a salary over 9 months or have it extended over 12
months - during the summer months (05.24.10 to 08.16.10) you do not need to
complete a regular timesheet for your professorial position.   When school
starts again in August - then you will start to fill out your regular
timesheet with PAW or leave time.

 

For all the faculty who are on a fiscal year appointment, you will need to
complete a regular timesheet with "PAW" and if applicable your leave time
(sick or vacation pay.)

 

Two hints if you do no know what your appointment is:

 

*      In UAccess you will either have a timesheet that has time codes or
not - no time codes you are an academic appointment

*      If you earn vacation hours, you are on a fiscal year appointment.

 

Please contact the Time Coordinator for your lab in the Administrative Staff
if you have questions.
