[Plsfaculty] Libby's retirement

Dear Colleagues,

 

Libby Davison joined the Plant Science's faculty in 1990, and after 20 years
of service to our undergraduate program and undergraduate students, Libby is
retiring at the end of this month.  

 

In recognition of Libby's contributions, Margaret (my wife) and I would like
to invite you to our home on the evening of Saturday, August 7.  The evening
is to be a time when you can individually let Libby know how much you
enjoyed working with her and wish her well in her next endeavors.   There
will be no "roasting" or "long speeches" extolling Libby's accomplishments,
just a time to spend with Libby, with each other, and just enjoy the
evening.  

 

We will furnish the food, but if you would like to bring drinks either to
share or to give Libby that would be greatly appreciated.  I happen to know
that during the summer months Libby enjoys the white variety of a popular
adult horticultural product that also comes in a red form.

 

Unfortunately, I will be on vacation the week of July 26, and at a meeting
the week of August 2, so I need to make food arrangements next week.  Of
course, your significant others are invited, so please RSVP as soon as
possible, and let me know how many will be attending (email me directly  at
dtray@ email.arizona.edu so that everyone isn't inundated with replies).
