Kindly consider this mail as an in-formal application for a postdoctoral
position in your lab, since I am not aware of any position opening. I am
compiling my research work and likely to submit my PhD thesis by may, 2011.
I am looking forward to join a lab which has keen interest in addressing
fundamental questions in the area of eukaryotic gene expression and
transcription regulation. I am highly motivated by your research and look
forward to work with you. 

I have attached my resume and research statement for your kind consideration
along with this mail. In brief, during my doctoral work I was involved in
elucidating the genomic network of cotton plant during drought condition and
fiber development. My study demonstrated the importance of the differential
expression genes during drought condition and fiber development. (Manuscript
Under   review in Plant physiology). During this study I further established
the role various genes and   transcription factor during drought condition
and developmental stages of fiber. I am presently studying the role of
various signaling molecules which coexist in the network of gene regulation
during drought condition and fiber development. 

During my doctoral work I was exposed to various molecular and biochemical
techniques and I would say that I have expertise in molecular biology
techniques like, Microarray expression, 454 GFX pyrosequencing, QGE
Sequenome Mass Array, Real Time PCR, molecular cloning, and other molecular
biology techniques.

I am sure and confidant my expertise will be asset to your laboratory and I
can contribute significantly to ongoing projects. I will be very happy if
you can assure my application and kindly let me know about its suitability
in context to your ongoing project.
