[Plsfaculty] surplus equipment and clean up

Several of you have asked if we could clean up the first floor of Marley
back by the loading dock as well as the Growth Chamber room in Forbes.
Attached is a list of "stuff" that we will surplus or discard. There are
several items, e.g., USDA items that will require Randy's attention. I don't
like to surplus equipment that needs only some minor repair but some of it
is obsolete so this is our best course of action. The Fisher 3 door
refrigerator by the elevator in Marley could be repaired for about $1,500
and it appears to be in good condition otherwise but the Marley labs do not
easily accommodate such a large unit. Please take a look at the attached
list and send me a note if there is anything that you want to salvage from
this list. I have a part-time worker who is helping me with the inventory
and the paperwork to dispose of these items.

 

If the Conviron light bulbs in Forbes look used, we will discard them so
please put a note on your box if the bulbs should not be discarded.

 

Please forward this note to the appropriate individuals in your lab.
