Subject: [Plantsci] SPLS: Outreach/engagement opportunity
Dear SPLS community,
We are invited to offer our expertise as judges for the 2026 Agriscience Fair, to be held in Tucson in early June.
Judges will review projects by 7th-12th grade students who, through their participation in the Future Farmers of America program, have conducted research in agricultural science.
Faculty, postdocs, and graduate students are all eligible to serve. If you're interested, please see details below.
Thank you and warm regards,
Betsy
Hello Everyone!
I am reaching out to you to request your help and expertise to serve as a judge for the 2026 Agriscience Fair at the Arizona FFA State Leadership Conference! This competition recognizes 7-12th grade students who conduct their own scientific investigations focused on agricultural and environmental problems.
As a judge, you will be working in small groups to evaluate all the different projects in a single division. We would ask that you arrive at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC) on Thursday, June 4th at 8:30AM for Judge orientation and remain to assist in judging from 9:00AM-Noon. Most divisions will finish prior to noon.
If you would like to be a judge, please let me know via email by Wednesday, May 20th. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Happy to answer any of your questions!
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Best,
Angela Kaczowka
