Dear SPLS community,

Please join me in welcoming the newest member of our SPLS business office team: our new administrative professional, Dave Romens.

We are delighted to have Dave join us. He brings considerable professional experience and acumen, and will contribute significantly to all aspects of our unit's function. Dave's time will be shared with ENVS, and we will work out his schedule soon. Please feel free to introduce yourself when you're next in the office.

Dave Romens has seven years of experience providing administrative support to a dynamic and growing academic department at a Big 10 university.  After relocating to California, he took a position caring for rhesus macaques at the California National Primate Research Center, where he supported research from the technical side. Outside of work, he can be found exploring the local environs with his partner and dog or drumming up recruits for Tucson’s small but rebounding ultimate frisbee league.
