[Plantsci] SPLS: Welcome back

Dear members of the School of Plant Sciences,

I am thrilled to welcome everyone back — and to welcome our new arrivals — as we look ahead to a productive academic year.

With that in mind, I'm writing to invite all members of the School to two events:


  1.
In support of our outstanding instructors and all in our community who contribute directly and indirectly to instruction, I invite you to celebrate the first day of classes. Please come by the Plant Sciences office (Forbes 303) anytime from 8:30am to 3pm on Monday, Aug. 25, for bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee/tea, and a warm welcome. All unit members are invited.

  2.
To kick off the semester, please join me for a brief welcome and update on the State of the School, to be held Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 4pm in Marley 230 and online (https://arizona.zoom.us/s/4619575532). For those attending in person, we'll start with light refreshments at 3:30 at the benches east of Marley (weather permitting - otherwise we'll move into the Marley lobby). Please come say hello to colleagues, catch up, and connect. All unit members are welcome.
