[Plantsci] Updates on Plant Sciences Interim Search

Good afternoon,

Sorry to be sending this so late on a Friday afternoon - I hope that you all have had success in your first days of classes and are looking forward to a bit of warmth this weekend.

I wanted to send some updates on the search for the SPLS interim Unit Head. Interviews will be taking place next week - I encourage you to participate, ask questions, and complete the rubric that will be disseminated with the meeting announcements. Completed rubrics can be forwarded to me at mclainj at arizona.edu<mailto:mclainj at arizona.edu> or left in the box that will be on the counter of the SPLS main office. Completion of the rubric is a key part of this process; this will be your chance to voice your thoughts! Announcements of specific times and locations of meetings will be sent on Tuesday, 1/16.

There are two nominees who will be interviewed next week - Dr. Judy Brown and Dr. Ramin Yadegari. The nomination of the third previously announced candidate, Dr. Dieter Steklis, was retracted today.
