Hello,

With all the stress and crazy I wanted to create something feel good and happy for the department!  So, I am proud to announce that we will be having our First Annual Employee School of Plants Sciences Photo Contest!

I have attached the flyer with all the awesome details, but I will summarize below:

Submit to plantsci-photo-contest at list.arizona.edu<mailto:plantsci-photo-contest at list.arizona.edu> only pictures taken with a cell phone that best represents one of the following categories:


  1.  The Faces of Plant Sciences at Work
  2.  As Seen at the School of Plant Sciences
  3.  Plant Sciences Impact on Our School, University, Planet

Contest runs from October 4th  – October 31st
Contest is open to any active employees in the School of Plant Sciences
Winners will be decided on by 3 judges I have chosen that are not in Plant Sciences but are in CALES
Winners will be announced November 6th
There will be one photo chosen for each category
The prize is $100.00 for each winner
Only one entry per category- per person

Photos will be used in a variety of ways including advertisement and recruitment.  Use your imaginations to capture the best parts of who we are, what we do and why we are doing it.  I like to say you all are out there saving the world.  😊
