[Plantsci] SAVE THE DATE: SPLS RETREAT

Hello SPLS community,

It’s time for an official announcement. The Retreat of the School of Plant Science will be on Dec. 7/8 at the JW Marriott in Tucson (see flyer).The retreat welcomes all grad students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty. A separate registration form will be sent out closer to the date.

The retreat will also present several awards to the graduate students and postdoctoral researchers of the school :

Best Paper Award for a Graduate Student ($1000)
Best Paper Award for a Postdoctoral Researcher ($1000)
Best Poster Awards ($500/300/200)
Award for the computational science on plants and their extended phenotypes ($750/500/250)

(see details about award eligibility, process and evaluation rubric attached)

As a heads up: Students and PostDocs are expected to provide a poster abstract during the registration process and present a poster at the retreat.
