Hi all,
I wanted to let everyone know that on the 4th floor, the hallway on the side with Mark, Shelley, and Ravi's labs has been flooded with water due to collection trays under our growth chambers overfilling and not easily making it to the emergency shower drain as I could not lift them without splashing. I mopped the floor the best I could and put wet floor signs out in the hall and the room of origin (I believe room Room 432 is the number where the chambers are). The lights are off in the hallways (don't know if this is a weekend thing) so be careful to not slip. Our mop is not the best and the paper towel dispensers putting out individual sheets is not enough to contain the water.
Having said this, we have noticed several other chambers that our lab has emptied. This is most likely due to the increased humidity from monsoon season. To be safe and avoid injuries along with malfunctioning equipment due to it getting wet, please make sure you are checking these water collection trays every other day.
