Below is a message I am passing along to let you know that the FFCRA program will be extended to March 31, 2021.  Please consider utilizing this resource if you qualify.

Dear University Supervisors,

We are asking for your help getting the following information to the members of your team who may benefit. Due to the continued surge of COVID-19, the University has extended the provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). This includes emergency paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave.

As we return from Winter Closure, we want to help you be supportive of your employees' well-being. Eligible employees are entitled to these benefits if they need them, and you are in the best position to guide them.

What you need to know:

  *   Use of these two leaves has been extended to March 31, 2021. (The previous deadline under FFCRA was Dec. 31, 2020.)

  *   To use the emergency provisions, you and your employees just need to use the request form and time codes outlined on the FFCRA webpage. Follow the directions on the form, or connect with your HR Organizational Consultant for guidance. We’re here to help you.

  *   At this time, this is a University decision that affects only University employees.

  *   The extension only applies to employees who did not already use their allotment(s) in 2020.
