[Plantsci] UCAP and University Staff status

Hello All:
All Classified Staff and Appointed Staff positions, that fall into the University Career Architecture Project (UCAP<https://ucap.arizona.edu/>) prevue, have received their UCAP Mapping Assessment results as of Oct. 29th. These came from the Division of Human Resources (hr_noreply at arizona.edu<mailto:hr_noreply at arizona.edu>). Here are a few key points to keep in mind for this process of transitioning to University Staff:
1. Appointed Staff are automatically converted to University Staff, no options.
* Your benefits and retirement choice will remain the same
* For an explanation of the differences between Classified, Appointed and University staff go here<https://ucap.arizona.edu/content/university-staff>
* Nothing more needs to be done by you
1. All Classified Staff who will transition MUST choose to Opt-In or Opt-Out of converting to University Staff by December 6, 2019.
* If you do not choose anything, you will automatically remain in your current Classified position, you will not transition
* For an explanation of the differences between Classified, Appointed and University staff go here<https://ucap.arizona.edu/content/university-staff>
* Any future job changes (examples: promotion, transfers, title change, etc.) will automatically convert you to University staff even if you choose to remain in your current category now
* If you remain, you will still be eligible for institution-wide merit increases if eligibility criteria are met. All salary ranges for Classified staff will no longer be updated going forward (no increase for cost of living will be considered).
1. How to view your University Staff results:
* Log into UAccess<https://uaccess.arizona.edu/> Employee with your WebAuth information.
* Ensure you are on the “UA Employee Main Homepage”
i. Listed top/center of your page
ii. You may click on the drop down menu to change if needed
* Click on the “UCAP Results Letter” tile
* Click on “View Letter”
i. You may save this as a PDF if you would like
* Choose Opt-In or Opt-Out. Submit.

1. Reassessment Process: Due November 6th to ALVSCE for final submission to UA HR Compensation Team by November 15th
* If you feel you have been mapped to a position that does not accurately reflect your current job, you may request a reassessment. You are responsible for completing all required documents and submitting by the ALVSCE Nov. 6th deadline.
* All Classified and Appointed staff are eligible to request a reassessment
i. For Classified Staff do not Opt-In until Reassessment results are concluded
