Hi All,

I am very pleased to have Dr. Mike Freeling from the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology at UC Berkeley as the School of Plant Science's seminar speaker on March 25th.  For those not familiar with him, his work is outstanding:

One of the fathers of maize genetics and development
Recently studying the evolution of plant genomes for the past 8 years (particular attention on conserved noncoding sequences)

Member of the National Academy of Sciences for 20 years
