For EMAIL.ARIZONA.EDU users who are missing emails or contacts after the
migration this past weekend.
We just got this update from UITS
Based on our findings, we have determined that the best way to make sure
everyone has all of their email and contacts is to initiate another round of
migrations for all accounts. We will be starting this process this
afternoon. We will notify this list when the migrations are completed.
Emails will be sent to everyone involved in the Big Bang migration this
afternoon. (We will send a copy of the end user email to this list as well
but there may not be a lot of lead time, as we need to respond to this as
quickly as possible.)
What does this mean to you and your staff?
- The migrations will occur in the background and should not cause
any service degradation.
- Only Email and Contacts are included in this migration pass.
- Users who found they were missing email and contacts will see
these items begin to appear as the migrations occur.
- Migrations are run in batches. There is no way to determine when
a particular user's account will be affected.
- Any messages deleted today may reappear.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
