Subject: Campus Email Update
UAConnect, UA's email and calendaring system for faculty and staff, has been
in place for one year and nearly 8,000 faculty and staff accounts have been
migrated. Based on user surveys we know most campus users are satisfied with
the features and functionality of UAConnect; however, some users have had a
less than satisfactory experience with the system in meeting their email and
calendaring needs.
The UAConnect team has taken note of these concerns and has been working for
several months with a group of campus IT support professionals to develop
potential solutions. The team has identified an interim solution of building
a campus-based system, which utilizes an identified solution for those
employees involved with data-export controls.
To facilitate the implementation of the solution, we are suspending the
current schedule to move all users to UAConnect by November 10th. The new
target date will be adjusted to be 90 days after the availability of the
campus-based system. This date will be announced as soon as it is available
and more details will be announced soon.
We at UITS want your department to have the best user experience possible
with this productivity suite and are making every effort to ensure this for
as many campus members as possible.
