Cher Ibrahim Barry,

Dear Engin,
thank you for sharing this information.
RISG Europe could contribute with information on several ongoing projects, like for example: the education programme, of the ongoing Erasmus Plus Project Eco-TransH, including teaching on Transhumance and Nomadism in Agricultural Schools and Universities, of 6 countries of 3 continents: France, Italy, Greece Romania, Morocco and Mongolia.
The idea is the production of Training materials as a result of a collaboration between these 6 quite different countries, to be used worldwide
Here a short film recently realized by the students of the 6 schools of the 6 countries, on what young people think on Transhumance and the interviews they realised in the their countries, to transhumant shepherds

In the next few day we will announce a RISG Europe webinar for the 6th of March
Between other items, we will try to have more information on sustainable practices based on local knowledge or innovations related to Pastoralism in Europe,
Kind regards
Francesca.

Dear Members and Supporters of the IYRP Global Alliance,

As many of you are aware, the IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC) 2025 will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 9 to 15 October 2025.

With the support of six IUCN member organizations within our Alliance, we have submitted a motion on IYRP2026. If and when the motion is endorsed for review, we will reach out to IUCN member organizations and commission members among you to contribute to the process before it is voted at the IUCN Forum.

Meanwhile, we, as Yolda Initiative and Alliance for Mediterranean Nature & Culture, would also like to submit a proposal for an IYRP2026 event at WCC. To ensure a well-coordinated effort, we kindly ask those that will attend WCC and willing to contribute to the event to inform us. This will allow us to collectively develop a strong proposal before the submission deadline (14 February 2025).

Looking forward to your responses.

All the best,

Engin
