Dear IYRP friends

After many years of being part of steering the IYRP ISG Coalition, I would like to inform you that I have stepped down as Co-Chair. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. We are now searching for a replacement and if you are interested, please contact Co-Chair Igshaan Samuels.

I also take this opportunity to bring to your attention this short opinion in the White Horse Press which is reproduced from the Special Issue of Nomadic Peoples entitled 'Sedentist Biases in Law, Policy and Practic', edited by Greta Semplici and Cory Rodgers. The whole issue (and all 2023 content) and is published Open Access thanks to the 'Subscribe to Open' project for NP.

Mobility has many different shapes around the world. At a time when migration of peoples (more popularly known as immigration) generates so much passion and debate, let us not confuse it with "mobility", that is, the tradition, science and art of being on the move as a response and adaptation to natural variability in our environment.
