Dear Vivek and colleagues,
Great to hear about this initiative. Exciting that you are producing a book
on sustainable practices in grasslands and pastoralism. Are you focusing on
India; on Asia; or the world for your Case Studies?

I understand another book on world-wide grasslands is being produced by
Routledge: *Routledge Handbook of Grasslands *that David Gibson, Jonthan
Newman, and Heather Hager are editing as part of Routledge’s series of
handbooks, to be published in early to mid-2025. Other books in this
series are:

   - Heather Hager, David Gibson (author of *Grasses and Grassland
Ecology* 2009;
coeditor of *Grasslands and Climate Change *2019), and
   - Jonathan Newman (coeditor of *Grasslands and Climate Change* 2019)

Here is Australia, we are planning to produce some kind of book which will
highlight case studies from the rangelands, showing positive stories and
innovative practices, from different perspectives, or using different
knowledges. This book is at the discussion stage, but we are very likely to
have a publisher as we have been approached by one company.

I am sorry, I do not have time to contribute. If you are looking for an
Australian collaborator, I may be able to suggest a few names if you do not
have someone already.
It will certainly be good to have a few books on rangelands produced for
IYRP 2026.

Best regards
Dana
