Dear colleagues,
Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute (IGFRI), Jhansi is bringing
a Souvenir "Harvesting Sustainability: Insights into the Journey of
Grasslands and Pastoralism". They are including chapter for the book :
International
Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists 2026: Celebrating Sustainability" with
- An overview of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists
- Global initiatives to support rangeland communities.
For preparing for this chapter we are in the process of collecting
experiences and innovative approaches, case studies or good practices or
plans based on local workshops / group meetings for improving rangeland
management and the livelihoods of pastoral communities from our IYRP
support group colleagues. . The authors and organizations contributing
cases will be duly acknowledged.

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I am
writing to extend a warm invitation to you and your esteemed colleagues to
contribute book chapters for our upcoming souvenir on the topic "Harvesting
Sustainability: Insights into the Journey of Grasslands and Pastoralism."
We are delighted to invite experts and scholars like yourself to share your
valuable insights and research findings on this important subject.

The souvenir aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable
practices in grasslands and pastoralism. We believe that your expertise and
knowledge in this field would greatly enrich the content of the souvenir.
Your contribution would not only enhance the overall quality of the
publication but also provide valuable guidance to readers interested in the
sustainable management of grasslands and pastoral communities.
Each book chapter should be between 8 to 10 pages in length, inclusive of
references and figures. We encourage authors to provide your expert views,
case studies, and practical insights that contribute to the ongoing
dialogue on sustainable practices in grasslands and pastoralism. The
deadline for the submission of chapters is 20th November, 2023. Apologies
for sending this invitation at a very short notice.
We believe that your involvement in this project would significantly
enhance the diversity of perspectives presented in the souvenir. Your
contribution will be duly acknowledged, and you will receive a
complimentary copy of the souvenir upon its publication.

Sciences*, GKVK, *Bangalore*, India.
