[IYRPsupportgroup] UNCCD call for contributions to a GLO Report on rangelands and pastoralism

Dear IYRP supporters, (French and Spanish below)

I’m sharing with you this call for contributions to an UNCCD Global Outlook
Report on rangelands and pastoralism. This report is meant to help guiding
the development of new projects and initiatives on pastoralism. It will be
quite aligned with the IYRP approach and we expect, an important
contribution in preparing for the IYRP 2026.

J'aimerais partager avec vous cet appel à contributions pour un rapport
mondial de la CNUCD sur le pastoralisme et l'élevage. Ce rapport vise à
guider le développement de nouveaux projets et initiatives sur le
pastoralisme dans les différentes régions du monde. Il est destiné à être
étroitement aligné sur l'objectif de l'AIPP et nous espérons qu'il
constituera une contribution importante à sa préparation à l'horizon 2026.

Quiero compartir con vosotros esta convocatoria de contribuciones para la
realización de un Informe de Global de la UNCCD sobre pastoss y pastoreo.
Este informe busca orientar el desarrollo de nuevos proyectos e iniciativas
sobre pastoreo en las distintas regiones del mundo. La idea es que esté muy
alineado con el enfoque del AIPP y esperamos que sea una contribución
importante en su preparación de cara a 2026.

Dear Sir /Madam,

The Secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification
(UNCCD) invites countries, organizations and individuals to share their
experience and innovative approaches to improving rangeland management and
the livelihoods of pastoral communities. The case studies or good practices
can be policies, plans, programs and projects that foster sustainable land
management practices, inclusive governance and participation, capacity
building, social innovation and other approaches to improve the health of
rangelands and their resources. The authors and organizations submitting the
experiences will be duly credited.

If interested in submitting an existing or ongoing initiative, please fill
out the attached template and send to both globalpolicyadvocacy at unccd.int
<mailto:globalpolicyadvocacy at unccd.int>  and pherrera at unccd.int
<mailto:pherrera at unccd.int>  indicating in the subject line “GLO Rangelands
and Pastoralists, contribution from
  ” and the country or region where your
initiative is located. Please note that the deadline for submission is 1st
March 2023.

gestion des terres de parcours et les moyens de subsistance des communautés
pastorales. Les études de cas ou les bonnes pratiques peuvent être des
politiques, des plans, des programmes et des projets qui favorisent les
pratiques de gestion durable des terres, la gouvernance inclusive et la
participation, le renforcement des capacités, l'innovation sociale et
d'autres approches visant à améliorer la santé des terres de parcours et de
leurs ressources. Les auteurs et les organisations qui soumettent les
expériences seront dûment crédités.

Si vous souhaitez soumettre une initiative existante ou en cours, veuillez

compartir sus experiencias y enfoques innovadores para  el manejo de los
pastizales y los medios de subsistencia de las comunidades de pastores. Los
estudios de caso o buenas prácticas pueden ser políticas, planes, programas
y proyectos que fomenten prácticas sostenibles de gestión de la tierra,
gobernanza y participación inclusivas, creación de capacidad, innovación
social y otros enfoques para mejorar la salud de los pastizales y sus
recursos. Los autores y organizaciones que presenten las experiencias serán
debidamente acreditados.

Aquellos  interesados en presentar una iniciativa existente o en curso, por
favor,  complete la plantilla adjunta y envíela tanto a
globalpolicyadvocacy at unccd.int <mailto:globalpolicyadvocacy at unccd.int>  como
a pherrera at unccd.int <mailto:pherrera at unccd.int>  indicando en la línea de
asunto "GLO Pastizales y pastores, contribución de...  " y el país o región
