[IYRPsupportgroup] Invitation to join Working Group on Pastoralism and Water

Dear all,

In the run-up to the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists (IYRP) in 2026, a number of Working Groups (WGs) are being constituted to spearhead research, analysis and advocacy on different issues important to reaching the objectives of the IYRP. 

Michael Odhiambo and Adrian Cullis have agreed to co-coordinate an emerging WG on Pastoralism and Water. Attached please find their brief on this new WG, explaining the justification for setting it up, the scope of work and the possible membership.

If you are interested in joining this WG in order to work on designing and/or conducting research and analysis, making or collecting case studies and disseminating knowledge products in the form of policy briefs, animated videos, webinars etc related to water tenure, supply, management and governance issues in pastoral areas, please take up direct contact with Michael (ochiengodhiambo at gmail.com <mailto:ochiengodhiambo at gmail.com>) or Adrian (adriancullis19 at gmail.com <mailto:adriancullis19 at gmail.com>).
