[IYRPsupportgroup] IYRP and the Joint International Grassland & Rangeland Congress Oct 2021

Dear supporters of IYRP

I am very pleased to inform you that the Joint IGC&IRC Kenya 2021 Virtual
Congress, to be held 25-29th October 2021, will include two Concurrent
Sessions on IYRP.

The Two IYRP Sessions, on *26th October, between 1:30 pm and 6 pm Nairobi
Time,* will feature speakers from around the world talking about issues and
challenges that pastoralists and rangelands face, and priority actions for
IYRP. Ample time is provided for a participatory discussion. A Congress
resolution on IYRP will be drafted. The Congress will also have virtual
tours and exhibits, keynote speeches from eminent scholars and
practitioners, several more sessions related to Pastoralism and Rangeland
Restoration, and more. Please see a short write-up attached.

We encourage you to participate in this Congress, and to bring your
experiences and knowledge to the discussion about IYRP. The virtual setting
gives an opportunity to hear from participants who normally do not attend a
scientific Congress, such as pastoralists, local NGOs and local government
agents.

All attendees at the Congress have to register as "participating delegate"
and pay a fee. *Deadline for registration is 30th September, so please do
