Nice work. I've had to step away a bit from the effort these last months but I'm really happy to see this.

Greetings all,

We are incredibly excited to announce today a new, promotional International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) website – an “online booth” for the upcoming Committee on Agriculture (COAG) meeting that will be held September 28 – October 2, 2020. In this “booth” you will hear inspiring stories from pastoralist peoples that come from almost every region of the world. You will see photographs demonstrating the amazing diversity and beauty of the world’s rangelands and grasslands. Through the “Rangeland Voices” testimonial videos, you will hear strong voices calling for a renewed focus on these lands and people that are so important for food security, sustainable livelihoods, cultural diversity and environmental health across the globe.

While this website is definitely still a “work in progress”, and we will continue to add content throughout this week and beyond (including logos), please know that we have tried to ensure proper credit to everyone who has contributed to this phenomenal effort. Your comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome at any time!

This truly global and collaborative effort would not have been possible without amazing interest and support from people all over the world. Thank you all! But I want to particularly thank Ann Waters-Bayer and CELEP, Craig Boesewetter and the CALS CCT Unit (University of Arizona Web Design), Hijaba Ykhanbai and the entire Mongolian team, and Anne Gondor and Sheila Merrigan (The Rangelands Partnership) for their tireless work over the past three weeks to bring this website together.

Please visit http://iyrp.info <http://iyrp.info> soon and often as new content will be added continuously. We hope you will share its availability with all of your contacts and communications outlets. Let’s make this website and its messages go viral!

With very best wishes,

Barbara
