[IYRPsupportgroup] Updating the IYRP Global Open Flyer

Dear friends and colleagues

Now that the FAO COAG decision has brought our dreams for an IYRP closer to
reality, we need to step up our efforts to gain larger and wider support -
both by governments and by non-governmental partners, pastoralist
associations, etc.

For this reason, the IYRP ISG Zoom call last week decided that it is
important that we update the global IYRP "open flyer"  (last written in
2018) so that it can be used in all of our outreach efforts -  and
especially with an eye out for the FAO Conference in July 2021 and the UN
General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2021.

Please note that:
a) the main intended audiences of this *global* flyer are officials from
government departments, and therefore the emphasis of this flyer is on
giving all the right justifications for an eventual favorable decision at
UNGA  ;
b) once finalized it will be taken up by the Regional ISGs (RISG) and
adapted to the regional priorities, opportunities and audiences.

We look forward to your review and feedback, no later than
*5th November 2020.*
