[IYRPsupportgroup] Request for IYRP GASL notes

Dear Mr. Muckhnasan,

It is good to hear from you!  We very much thank you for helping to make the IYRP open session such a success.

Attached is the summary report along with the list of participants.  At the end of the GASL conference, we contacted the participants thanking them for their participation and asking them to let us know if they would like to join the IYRP Support Group.  As a result, we have four new members of the Support Group and an important contact in USAID/State Department who is co-chairing a new working group on pastoralism.  We also asked these new members to help solicit more letters of support for the Mongolia proposal.

We are excited about the positive outcomes of the open session.  Do you think we should share the report and perhaps also an update on the Mongolia proposal through the IYRP Support Group listserv?  I would be happy to help put together a message for the group.  There are now 60 subscribers to the listserv representing organizations around the world!

It was so great that you organized open section discussion on IYR&P during the GASL MSP meeting. The discussion was short but so useful for our successful application.
