IUCN will participate in the COP and I would welcome a submission for something on rangelands/pastoralism.
Some of the key themes of COP that would be worth aligning to include restoration, governance, LDN, and risk/hazard (drought, sand and dust storms).
We would be very happy to play a role in the event. The only problem is that we cannot propose it because we already have two proposals planned, which is more than the UNCCD usually likes from one institution.

Is there anyone participating in the UNCCD COP, 2-13 September 2019 in New Delhi? Some of us are thinking about putting in an application for a side event similar to what what done at UNEA on the IYRP, and given that our funds would be very limited it would be good to know if anyone is already planning to go so that we can make the most of who will already be there.



Please respond to me directly so we don't bombard people with emails. Once we have names of those who will be attending we can establish a small sub-group on this.  Thanks!
