Thanks, Sadana! Actually, pastoralists are also stakeholders, the foremost ones! The idea was that the year would provide an opportunity for the voice of scientists to be heard about scientific findings on the value of rangelands and pastoralism - but maybe that can be expressed in a better way?

And thanks Ruijun! Indeed, 1-2 good photos could say it al!

Dear all in the GCG,

As soon as UNGA approves the IYRP 2026, we want to issue a press release. Engin, Burcu, Maryam, Barbara and I have worked on this version. We now run it past all of you. If you have any suggestions for improvement, could you please email them tomorrow (Wednesday), as this is urgent. We are not sure exactly when the resolution on the IYRP will be discussed in the UNGA, but it could be any time after Wednesday.

For the news editors, should we include a couple of simple explanations of ”rangelands” and “pastoralists”, e.g. from the IYRP flyer?
