[Faculty] Provost Awards Requiring Dean's Support Letter - IMPORTANT GUIDANCE

Good morning,

Late last week we all received an email from Provost Prelock (copy attached) regarding the application for the 2025/26 Provost Awards. As in past years, many of these awards require a support letter from the Dean.

If you are submitting a Provost Award application that requires a letter from Interim Dean Mike Staten, please do the following:


  *   Notify me of your intended award submission. I will set up a Box folder for submission materials to be shared with the Dean.
  *   Submit all materials to the Box folder by November 19. Note that this is 3 weeks earlier than the posted submission date of December 8. Because we typically receive a lot of requests for support letters, AND because some of the awards allow only a single submission per College, the extra time is necessary for organizing submissions and the writing of strong letters.
  *   The Dean's letter will be submitted to the Box folder on or before the December 8 and I will notify you, so the nomination can be submitted via the Cultivate site.
