I'm writing to call your attention to the latest update on RIIs Federal Funding Page<https://research.arizona.edu/administration/federal-funding-updates>.

Federal agencies have been directly contacting PIs for payment justifications. The communication may include references to “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Defend the Spend, Payment Management System (PMS), and Automated Standard Application for Payment (ASAP).” Please do not directly engage with the sponsor if you receive these emails. Please forward to sponsor at arizona.edu<mailto:sponsor at arizona.edu> for further review and action. We are developing a process to minimize administrative burden and risk to our federal payment process.
