CALES Faculty,
Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you all had a restful break.
As we prepare to welcome students back to campus, I can’t help but reflect on the devastation caused by the fires in Los Angeles. Many of our students may have been directly or indirectly affected by these events.
Earlier today, an email was sent to all CALES students with links to mental health resources. I encourage you to be prepared to guide students to these resources as needed. This is a challenging time for many—students, faculty, and staff alike—especially for those with loved ones impacted by the fires. Please take care of yourselves, support one another, and continue to be there for our students.
For your reference, I’ve included the email sent to students below.
Best,
Jim
