Please join this week's CrisiScience Collaborative at which we will honor John Paul San Giovanni
Our colleague and dear friend John Paul San Giovanni passed away on September 25th. He will be tremendously missed not just for his immediate and immense scientific contribution but also for his grand aspirations for all of humanity leading far into the future. His last presentation to CrisiScience was on September 14th and was among the rare occasions in which it was recorded. I would happily share that with any who would like a copy-just drop me a note. I believe Khouyar is going to post it on YouTube as well.
A deeply spiritual man of perpetual good humor and hopeful outlook, he stood astride so many complex scientific issues that a single homily can't begin to summarize all the he was about. Accordingly, I'm dedicating the coming session of CrisiScience Collaborative to recounting his legacy in full detail and devising paths forward to continue the research that he was so intently interested in pursuing. The best tribute we can offer him is to carry on and carry out that which he espoused.
I encourage all of you to consider saying a few words about him and your work together if you'd like. I'd especially like you to share the invitation below with any and all who knew him that they can learn how deeply respected and regarded he was among his peers in the scientific community.
Steven Winston is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
