Good morning, CALS faculty – regarding this email (below) from Faculty Senator Tim Ottusch yesterday – I receive emails from many of you asking for my “advice” on how to get appointed to University-level committees – well, here is your chance! The Faculty Senate is our primary self-governing faculty organization, and service to the Senate would be not only interesting, but you would undoubtedly get a lot of satisfaction from representing CALS faculty at their monthly meetings.

Good afternoon everyone!



Katie Zeiders and I, your two current CALES Senates, wanted to send along a note with a few updates.



First, we have our first main senate meeting from 3-5 p.m. Monday September 11. It is open to the public and is in Old Main (Silver and Sage) and on Zoom. The agenda is here: https://facultygovernance.arizona.edu/events/faculty-senate-meeting



On the agenda are check-ins from President Robbins, Interim Provost Ron Marx, and a check-in on the Gen Ed committee.



Second, I wanted to pass along the survey that worked well last year where you can send us any questions/comments you want.
