For Your Awareness: Improper Foreign Influence Concern for UArizona Researchers
On October 4, Stanford University published a list of the top 100,000 research scientists in the world which includes some UArizona researchers. We have been notified that afterwards, some individuals on the list received emails or were contacted through their Researchgate.net profiles asking them to apply for Chinese talent program funding.
This is very concerning - please be aware that you too could be targeted and DO NOT REPLY OR ENGAGE DIRECTLY.
Please get in touch with Taren Ellis Langford (tmellis at arizona.edu<mailto:tmellis at arizona.edu>) or Brian Hillegonds (brianhillegonds at arizona.edu<mailto:brianhillegonds at arizona.edu>) should you be contacted regarding a Chinese foreign talent program.  They will assist you in determining whether the talent program is a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program.
