I am writing to highlight a few opportunities that have arrived at my inbox recently. I hope that you can participate or take advantage of at least one of them.


Help shape the future of UArizona RII Imaging Cores!

The RII Imaging Cores – Optical core facility and the UACC Microscopy Shared Resource request your feedback on an important survey. Your input will assist in making informed, strategic decisions that will support your research in both the short and long term. The survey covers the following topics:

  1.  Where core facility high-end research microscopes “should” be located and how much instrument redundancy is needed, particularly at the UAHS campus.
  2.  Tell us about your image analysis needs. We recognize the desire for more image analysis support, but we must be able to demonstrate the extent of the need to leadership.
  3.  What microscopy-related services/equipment/expertise are we missing at the University of Arizona?

Apply for a grant from the AZ Citrus Research Council (ACRC) - due: 5PM on Friday, November 17th, 2023)
The ACRC will have approximately $75,000 to award for appropriate citrus research projects. The ACRC will be accepting research proposals that comply with the Research Grant Program Application and Manual available at: https://agriculture.az.gov/grants. If you intend to apply for this opportunity, contact your AVLSCE Pre-Award Grants and Contracts Manager as soon as possible.
