[Faculty] Researchers: Please update your undergraduate research opportunities (in-person or online

Dear Researchers,

This is a gentle request to review and update your Undergraduate Research Opportunities section in UA Vitae under Activities for this academic year. By doing so, it allows a more inclusive group of students to more easily identify active and current undergraduate research opportunities through the searchable database at :https://ur.arizona.edu/find/search-ua-researchers.

You can now select “Online” as the option for location if you are only offering online research opportunities for students.

If you need to make any changes to whether you are or not offering opportunities, to whether they are paid, for credit, or by volunteer, to the list of majors you would consider, or to the mandatory prerequisite courses, please see the instructions here<https://ur.arizona.edu/update> or see the screenshot below.

Please note the following regarding the undergraduate research searchable database athttps://ur.arizona.edu/find/search-ua-researchers:

  *   The data is pulled from UA Vitae including both fields from your profile and the fields we created specifically in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities section.
  *   The research description field and the key word search pulls from the description you entered into your UA Vitae profile information for your research interests.  Note - It helps students narrow their search if you ensure this field is completed and contains a detailed description. (This field is also utilized by profiles.arizona.edu<http://profiles.arizona.edu>.)


Thank you for your attention to this as the database helps increase access to undergraduate research, which is well-known as a high impact educational practice that increases student retention.
