Bruce Alberts, National Medal of Science honoree and former editor-in-chief of Science magazine, will be speaking at UA about his personal experience spreading science.  Alberts has seen that a powerful way to spread the benefits of science is to place scientists in a variety of professions. This requires the creation of new pathways to move young scientists into positions in which they can influence public policy, industry, government, journalism, law, and public school systems.
