The University of Arizona (UA) plans to submit a proposal to ADOT in response to a request for proposals (ADOT On-Call Consultant Services for Research, ADOT16-00005782<http://arizona.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b6ba9388f9c749678c5f1628d&id=da4abd099a&e=db7a664467>) that will allow researchers at the UA to pursue opportunities under task orders that are released by Arizona Department of Transportation Research Center (ATRC) throughout the year. The research budget is approximately $1.5M per year.

ATRC utilizes an on-call list of qualified firms and individuals to provide transportation research services on a broad range of transportation research topics including:

  1.  Planning, policy, and communication research
  2.  Environmental research
  3.  Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic engineering, traffic safety, and transportation systems management and operations research;
  4.  Materials, construction, and maintenance research;
  5.  Bridges, structures, and roadways research;
  6.  Technical editing; and
  7.  Product evaluation
If you are interested in research opportunities in these 7 areas and would like to register to receive announcements about pending research task orders please send a short email to Larry Head (klhead at email.arizona.edu)<mailto:klhead at email.arizona.edu)> indicating your area(s) of interest from the list above (1-7) and a brief (1-2 sentences) description of your expertise and experience.

Internal Deadline: March 15, 2016. Faculty can be added to the distribution list at anytime in the future, but we need to submit qualifications to show the breadth and depth of the faculty capabilities at the University of Arizona.

External Deadline: March 22, 2016 at 3 PM MST
