Inspiring Ideas in Philanthropy: Understanding Donors
Dialogue with a supporter-be that face to face or through other routes-should be based on an understanding of the motivation of that individual supporter. We must proactively seek to understand the motivations, values, needs and personality of donors. This will enable us to tailor communications to reflect their motivations and engage with them in what we're trying to do.
