[Faculty] Fwd: Henry Hagedorn Speakership event

Hi CALS faculty,

Some of you may have known Henry Hagedorn, who was a beloved colleague and professor in the Department of Entomology, where he also served as Dept. Head and Director of the Center of Insect Science for some time.  He passed away in January, 2014.  If you knew Henry, you may be interested to know about a celebration and launch of a speakership endowment in his name in early December.

The Hagedorn celebration will be December 8, 5-8, at the Tucson Botanical Garden. Magdalena Hagedorn will be coming from Wisconsin. Jake Tu, one of Henry's most successful students, will give a seminar.  And there will be an elegantly casual dinner.  More formal invitations will be sent, but we wanted to let you know now, so that you could keep the date open.  Please let us know if you want to be included in future postings.
