The Dean's Research Advisory Council (DRAC) is pleased to announce the
winners of the Research Innovation Challenge Grant competition. The
Research Innovation Challenge (RIC) was held May 5-6, 2014 as a mechanism to
increase interdisciplinary communication among the faculty and to encourage
cross disciplinary research endeavors.

Eight pilot project proposals were received. Each included faculty who had
not previously collaborated on scholarly research. Although initially it
was anticipated that three projects would be funded, following proposal
evaluation by the DRAC, four projects were recommended for funding.
Additional funds were provided by the CALS Research Administration Office to
make this a reality.
