Please see the forwarded message from Tom Fish about the draft of the new CESU DEIA Statement and Principles. We will integrate the final version of this statement into an updated DSCESU Strategic Plan<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fm9CL0VWlQ-J7fLBJW2onAqGO7BXpd_5x8PsoDPwc_s/edit#bookmark=id.gjdgxs> when we apply for DSCESU's 2025 5-year renewal.

The CESU Diversity Equity Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Working Group has drafted the following DEIA Statement and Principles applicable for CESU program activities. The final language will be included in a CESU memo and incorporated by reference in subsequent CESU multi-partner agreements, information resources, etc.
The DEIA working group welcomes your thoughtful review and comments (e.g., suggested adjustments, additions). Please submit any comments by email (c/o tom_fish at nps.gov) by COB Tuesday, 30 January.

CESU DEIA Statement
The CESU Network, as an organization of partner organizations, is committed to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all activities supported through the program.
CESU DEIA Principles
+ create and maintain a diverse and inclusive culture built on mutual respect and understanding and foster a sense of belonging and equity for all participants by adopting practices and principles that value all individuals
+ enhance and sustain diversity within our projects by taking concrete measurable actions to promote opportunities for and increase the representation of historically underrepresented and marginalized individuals and populations
