[CED/CD/EAT] Precertification Training in Phoenix - Slots still open

Good morning - I received a few calls and emails this week from people interested in attending the Pesticide Applicator Precertification Trainings in Phoenix. Good news. There are still plenty of slots available. Registration always goes in clusters with the first group of people enrolling within the first 48 hours after registration opens. Then there's a mad scramble to register on the deadline. This morning, I noticed my lovely typo on the preregistration form for the training I'll offer in Spanish. The registration deadline was listed as the 27th, which is the last day of the course. HA - well that sure is tricky. Obviously, I was in a mad scramble to get the registration forms together and overlooked a few things. I nudged the date back to Friday, September 20th on the attached flyer.

I attached the registration flyers for two upcoming trainings in Phoenix. The dates are:


  *   September 26th and 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This course will be presented in Spanish. The registration deadline is Friday, September 20th.


  *   October 2nd and 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This course will be presented in English. The registration deadline is Friday, September 27th.

Optional Exam Event. Roberto Rios of the Arizona Department of Agriculture will offer an exam event on October 4th for people interested in getting an agricultural pesticide applicator certification.

Future trainings and study materials. I will present a precertification training in English in Willcox in early November, which will be the last training of the year. However, training is not a prerequisite for taking the pesticide applicator certification exams. You're welcome to study on your own and take the exam(s) at your convenience. The attached registration flyers contain details about study guides and contact information for the Arizona Department of Agriculture's Licensing Division. Please see page 2.
