[CED/CD/EAT] Programmatic funds

Dear Extension Directors and Specialists:

The recent increase of state funding for Extension for the next three years has allowed Extension to begin to seek out, identify, and develop new economic opportunities and innovations across the state. Support for this work has come through hiring new faculty and staff and new support for existing faculty and staff. At this stage, we have invested the majority of our first-year increase. However, the Associate Directors do have programmatic funds that can be used to support programmatic needs in the state. I ask that you send requests to the appropriate Associate Director for consideration. If your need is more of an administrative requirement for office support, those requests should go to your supervisor, then to a CED/Director/Department Head. The CED/Director/Department Head will decide which proposals will be forwarded to the Director's office. Our goal is to invest these funds to help Extension move forward to support new and emerging economies in Arizona and help existing programs utilize innovative approaches to program delivery.
